Small Business Spotlight: Wirth Concrete Construction Inc.

For more than 40 years, Wirth Concrete Construction, Inc. has proudly provided Story City and surrounding communities throughout Central Iowa with quality concrete workmanship and dependable service.

The family-owned business specializes in high-quality flatwork concrete services and takes pride in providing customers with work that is built to last. From the beginning, teamwork, integrity, and customer satisfaction have been at the foundation of the business and continue to guide the Wirth Concrete Construction team today.

The Wirth Concrete story began in 1983 when Jim Wirth, Jason Wirth’s father, started the business in the Story City area. Growing up around the family business, Jason developed an appreciation for the work and the values behind it. After graduating, he realized he shared his father’s vision of providing high-quality concrete solutions and continuing to build a business customers could trust.

When Jim retired in 2008, Jason purchased Wirth Concrete Construction and alongside his wife Angela, they began the next chapter of the family business. Since then, Jason and Angela have continued carrying on the dream Jim started while building upon the company’s reputation for proven expertise, quality workmanship, and lasting results.

For the Wirths, there’s no better place to operate their business than the community they’ve always called home. Having grown up in the Story City area, Jason and Angela value the opportunity to serve the people around them and say one of the things they appreciate most about owning a business is simply being able to help people.

That same connection to the community has also played an important role in their relationship with Reliance State Bank. Wirth Concrete Construction has banked with RSB for approximately 30 years, with the bank supporting the business through a business line of credit and support for other projects over the years. Jason and Angela especially appreciate the great service and continued support they’ve received from the RSB team.

More than four decades after Jim first started the business, Wirth Concrete Construction continues to build on the foundation he created. With Jason and Angela carrying on the family legacy, a dedicated crew behind them, and a continued commitment to quality, integrity and helping others, Wirth Concrete Construction looks forward to serving Story City and surrounding communities throughout Central Iowa for many more years to come.
